The Street Talk Blog has a nice writeup about how Summer Bay and Harrah's came to an arrangement over some timeshare property in Vegas. Long story short - Harrah's wanted the land on which Summer Bay Las Vegas was built, but rather than selling, Summer Bay made a trade for some neighboring property owned by Harrah's. The upshot is that timeshare owners at Summer Bay Las Vegas get a new renovated facility without a huge hike in maintenance fees. Insiders in the industry give the homeowners association credit for this deal.
It's nice that these guys could come together to negotiate a situation favorable to the owners.
