Riverhead, Long Island, secured ownership of 2,550 acres of land at the Navy-owned Naval Weapons Industrial Reserve Plant in Calverton. The town has finally picked a firm to build a HUGE theme park and resort featuring a 350' indoor ski mountain!
Riverhead Resorts LLC, a partnership of Bayrock Group LLC & Baldragon Homes Ltd is now one step closer to building the project which will utilize 755 acres of land! Riverhead Resorts expects to spend between one to one and a half BILLION dollars to construct a park that will also feature a snowboarding center, spa, wilderness resort and camping area. The property will also feature a conference center with a 100,000 sq ft exposition hall for product trade shows and conferences.
